What should we ask ourselves.

Posted on Nov 15th, 2007 by monolocci : Cerebrating Omni-Omni monolocci
Am I a function in a system or am I a contributing member in a society?
Do I blindly follow orders and rules?
Have I ever had any input in these rules?
Do I question?
Do I think for myself?
Have I made a difference?

A police officer will tell you, "I don't make the laws, I only enforce them." Thus, we call them Law-Enforcers, but did you know, once upon a time, that these individuals were called Peace-Keepers?

Isn't it sad, that today, in our ever so advanced world, there are certain topics that are shunned and are taboo to talk about. That we keep our believes behind closed doors because we dont want to offend anyone. It's a shame we've forgotten what's important. Is it not horrible that we have forgotten God and eachother. That we put ourselves behind closed doors of opportunity to Love and be happy and most importantly have God, Thee True Parent, in our lifes.

Growth

If one does not exercise one's body, it will not grow to it's full potential, and that would be a waste. The same can be said for the mind. So, by way of reason, it is likely to be true of the spirit as well. The next step forward would be learning how to exercise each component.

The body is simple, and positive thought does for the mind, what a healthy jog does for the body. But how does one work the spirit.

Perhaps prayer, love for life and resisting temptations helps one's spirit to grow. Helping others may also further growth, but a question arises; what is the motive? If one seekes to help one's self by helping others, one is confused. One must learn that by helping others, one, inadvertently, helps one's self.

It's not about helping one's self though, it's about helping God. Doing God's will brings about spiritual growth, but that is not enough. One must yearn, one must crave, one must desire to do God's will, but not because it helps one's self, but because it helps others. In a way, one must learn to be selfless.
